Built for the moment it matters
Most gambling harm support happens in office hours. Urges don't. RUIN is there for the moment someone is about to place a bet, often late at night, when services are closed and there's nobody to call.
What it does
- I'm tempted. A 10-minute intervention for the moment the urge hits, written in the voice of someone who's been there. It doesn't ask them to stop forever, just to wait ten minutes.
- Two futures. Using their own numbers, RUIN shows where stopping leads and where carrying on leads: debt, time and money.
- Reconnection to you. Each time they get through an urge, they log what they did instead. Over time it becomes a personal record of every time they beat it.
- Daily check-in. A reason to come back on the good days too.
Anonymous and safe
RUIN needs no account, name or email, and what people enter stays on their own device. Crisis signposting is on every screen. Read the safeguarding statement.
